Visual Progression

We started to think about our video's progression. We had already decided that we weren't going to have a narrative and needed to find another way to have the progression that we need. We started to think about the visuals of our video and how we could move it forward this way. In the end, we thought of a few ways that we can do this.

Firstly, we are going to build the pace. The cuts in our video will get quicker as it progresses and the shots will get progressively more interesting and lively. We will also have fewer of the more stationary performance shots by the end to add pace. Secondly, we will increase the scale of the props in the frame. We will start with a few small and stationary props such as a Nintendo 64 and finish with larger, mobile things like skateboards and a pogo stick. Finally, we will be using lots of different lighting setups throughout the video and varying the colour of the background. We will start with only a couple of background colours and hopefully have 5 or 6 by the end. The picture below summarises all of this in relation to different sections of the lyrics.
