Meetings Summary: September 29 - October 3

We started by making an agenda for the week. We mainly wanted to focus on our band's image and on giving our video some kind of progression to keep it interesting. We had two meetings. Our first was during Tuesday lunch and the second was Thursday lunch and period 6.

The agenda
We felt that we really needed to work out the details of our band's image. We thought specifically about each member of the band and how we wanted them to look and act. We thought about some specific outfits that they could wear and what their personalities will be like. We hope that this detail will make planning the video easier as their personalities and style will influence the shots.

We also thought about the themes of the song as we hoped that this would be useful when thinking about visuals and the overall progression of the video. We printed out the lyrics to the song and read through them a few times, thinking about what ideas and imagery they brought to mind. Doing this helped a lot with thinking about what props we could have and what the overall tone of the video will be (hopefully).

Lyrics to the song with some ideas about themes and props
Originally we weren't thinking much about how our video would progress but we did have a few ideas about the different kinds of shots that we could have. We came up with three different set-ups that revolved around two main ideas. Throughout the video we will have performance shots of the band and cut to shots of the band members messing around with props that reflect the theme of nostalgia. These are the two main ideas that we came up with.

Our set-ups for the two ideas
We then started to think about how our video could progress. We weren't too keen on having a narrative so we instead decided to progress the video visually by changing the props, outfits and the set-ups as well as the pace of the video.
